ISRO rockets into global market for launch pie

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has entered the multi-billion dollar global launch market, with the success of its first commercial launch when an Italian satellite was put into the polar orbit this month.

Though a late entrant into the elite club, the space agency has made India proud to become the fifth country after the US, Russia, Ukraine and the European Space Agency (ESA) to have the capability of launching spacecraft of any kind into polar and geo-stationary orbits.
