The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) are keen that airlines from India look at improving air connectivity to the region from here.
Addressing a seminar on ‘Doing business with the CIS region’, the Kyrgyz Ambassador to India, Ms Irina A. Orolbaev, called on the private sector airlines from India to look at operating flights to the region.
“Kingfisher and Jet Airways fly internationally but do not operate to the region. The airlines could consider operating a flight between Delhi and Bishkek,” the Envoy said. The meeting was organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
